Podcasting is something that’s been around for awhile now and if you look hard enough there are some great podcasts out there. If you’ve never watched a podcast hopefully this list will help you to find one you’ll like, these are my favorite 5.
5. The Onion News Network
If you are looking for a great comedy podcast to start your day with look no further then the ONN. The Onion News Network from The Onion, everyone’s favorite fake newspaper, has made their hilariously brilliant Onion News Network videos available as a podcast. If you’re a fan of their faux news then you’ll love the ONN videos. One of my favorites is about a human head found in the a Burger King Whopper, check it out on the ONN’s website.
4. The Totally Rad Show
The Totally Rad Show is a weekly video podcast (also available as just audio) that stars Alex Albrecht, Dan Trachtenberg, and Jeff Cannata and is part of the Revision 3 network. The show is essentially three guys hanging out discussing and reviewing movies, video games, TV, and comics what more could you ask for? New episodes are posted Tuesday @ 3 pm (Eastern) and can be watched via podcast or the website.
3. Cranky Geeks
I love to complain so when you combine complaining with my other favorite thing, technology you get my #3 favorite podcast Crank Geeks, hosted by John C. Dovorak a contributing editor of PC Magazine. Cranky Geeks features a weekly round-table discussion featuring guests from around the tech world. John, who by the way is in fact the crankiest man in the biz, discusses the most talked about tech stories with his guests and the discussions usually get pretty interesting. Cranky Geeks streams live every Wednesday at 12:30pm Pacific. Downloads are available in the evening from Cranky Geeks.com
2. Diggnation
Two guys drinking beer and surfing the web on their couch, doesn’t sound like it would be very entertaining does it? Well sir you would be mistaken, Diggnation is one of the best podcasts out there. Diggnation is another Revision 3 podcast starring Alex Albrecht from The Totally Rad Show and Kevin Rose founder of Digg.com. If you like Digg.com then look no further, Alex and Kevin will take you on a hilarious trip through the top stories featured on Digg.com throughout the week. Occasionally they will do live shows from around the world, recently a live show was done in Amsterdam. You can watch Diggnation via video or listen via audio podcast or watch from their website.

1. TWiT
This Week In Tech or TWiT. Yes Leo Laporte and the gang tackle all your favorite weekly tech news and gadgets from around the world and interwebs in this weekly audio podcast. TWiT always features a great round-table discussion and different hosts each week. Frequently making appearances on the show are John C. Dvorak of PC Magazine and Patrick Norton who you may remember from the Screen Savers on Tech Tv now of Tekzilla on Revision 3. If you just can’t get enough tech and gadget talk, I highly recommend TWiT. Listen via the audio podcast available here.
