So my birthday was back at the beginning of this month, so I decided to get myself something nice and after some research decided on the Apple Tv. Now note that I only have a Jvc 32″ old tube Tv, it is a common misconception that the Apple Tv only works on widescreen HDTvs, this is not technically true. It works fine on my Tv, it plugs in using composite cables, I don’t have a receiver so I just use the a red & white RCA input for sound . The only downside is the picture is a bit squished and vertical black bars show on some videos. This device has changed my Tv watching habits. After a little hacking I’m now able to SSH into the device and transfer my own video files to the hard drive, allowing me to watch formats that the ATv wouldn’t normally display. Recently it was updated so that I can now rent movies, purchase Tv shows, and even watch Youtube. Though one of my favorite things to do is browse video podcasts on iTunes, I can watch Diggnation or Totally Rad Show whenever I want, and I can listen to Twit while playing WoW. I recommend picking one up if you love to tinker with electronics like this and with all the hacks that are out makes this one nice little hobby device.
I’ve noticed an odd trend this campaign season, alot of the photos of the candidates have been terrible, catching the candidate in a moment where they are shown making odd expressions. Maybe it’s just laziness on the part of the publishers but these pictures are just bad.

So 2007 is coming to a close, it was a pretty exciting year, we got to see the iPhone come to popularity, the Ipod Touch and a new video Nano, Vista, and some of the best gaming ever. So thinking back on the games I played over 2007 I must admit that I don’t own a next gen console so most of my gaming happens on PC, so as my favorite game of 2007 I have chosen Portal. Portal is one of the most original and fun games I’ve ever played, if you haven’t played it yet go out and get Orange Box or purchase it through Steam, you won’t be disappointed. So Valve and Aperture Science, I congratulate you for the hours of entertainment and joy you have bought me, and I must say the cake was delicious and I’m still alive. Happy New Year
So I’ve been on kind of a retro gaming kick lately. I just picked up an FC Twin which btw is awesome, and today surfing Digg and I came across this article at Tweak3d called “WTF Happened to Road Rash?” and I thought “Yeah WTF happened to Road Rash?” If Road Rash was around today with updated graphics on Xbox 360 and PS3 and motion controls on the Wii I think it would still be alot of fun. Imagine swing your chain around and smacking the rider next to you using your Wii mote, oh the possibilities are endless.
